The Museum of Illustration is a vision currently being turned into a reality. Our aim is to create the first official home in the UK dedicated solely to the art of illustration.

Illustration touches our lives every day. It appears in books, magazines and newspapers, on advertising hoardings, in comics and graphic novels. It's art on a human scale - and yet the history of these images and those that made them is rarely explored. The Museum of Illustration is here to tell those stories, as well as enthuse, inspire and educate all those who visit.

Our plans to create a physical museum will take a few years, so this site will serve as its virtual base. With the help, expertise and financial support of fellow enthusiasts, we hope to make this exciting project a reality.
